Don't Put It Off

2 Peter 1 (The Message)

1-2I, Simon Peter, am a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ. I write this to you whose experience with God is as life-changing as ours, all due to our God's straight dealing and the intervention of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you many times over as you deepen in your experience with God and Jesus, our Master.
3-4Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust.  5-9So don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can't see what's right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

The Sin of Mixing! - David Wilkerson

There is nothing in the New Testament quite as strong as the warnings of Paul against affinity with the world:
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (2 Corinthians 6:14-16 NKJV).

Preparing for the Coming Quake ~ John Helm

Preparing for the Coming Quake- John Helm

by John Helm on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 8:14am.

Suddenly a 9.0 earthquake followed by a Tsunami and literally in the matter of minutes the immediate lives of thousands in the country of Japan, as they knew it forever changed.

In the following days more quakes and aftershocks are predicted throughout the land of the rising sun. Paralleling the shaking ground and the rolling waves will be the ripple of economic woe that now haunts the World at large. Will the World’s third largest economy which was beginning to show a small hope of recovery from recession, lose its momentum? Counting the cost this earthquake could become the world’s most expensive ever estimated at possibly $200 billion. Cost to insurance companies in the USA alone could be over 35 billion. The additional impact on the World’s energy demand is of grave concern. What will the affect be for me and you and the rest of the World? Who knows?
