Are You fit for the Kingdom?

When's the last time you just cried out to God and said "Lord, it's not in my ability, I need you"? Seriously, where is your heart today in regard to the Kingdom of God? Christ demands your constant attention to the work that pleases the Father.

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Are you a fit? Do you match the qualifications for the Kingdom
of God? Or are you to busy trying to qualify for the kingdom of the world?

We must come to Him totally helpless, realizing the gravity of our trespasses that are not only just against friends or loved ones but trespasses mostly against God!

For the scriptures declare in Philippians 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do his good pleasure"

So what does that mean? It means that it is God that gives you the will or desire & it is He that does His good pleasure through you.

You in your existing nature, before Christ makes residence in you, are hopeless. You are destined for a devils Hell. You were born into sin. So you must die to the body of sin & be born again. Think about that. But when you come to Christ helpless you loose your hopelessness and have an eternal hope and trust in Jesus Christ your redeemer.

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

You see Christ broke the bondage of sin in your life. But before you choose him you should count the cost (Luke 14)

Christ is not trying to make being a Christian a popular thing but a fruitful & holy thing in the earth. Ultimately bringing Glory to the Father..

Read all of Romans 6 & you learn about what Christ has made available to all that will believe on Him.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Who are you obeying? What rules or leads you? You might say "well nobody rules me! I am in charge of my own life." WRONG! That is a lie from Satan. You are not in control. Satan let's you think you are in control until his nature that you were born with leads you to a place where he can jerk the rug out from under you and steal kill and destroy you.

You are either a servant to sin or righteousness. There is no middle. Don't believe the passive packaging of today's americanized christianeze, which is based on greed, & business building instead of Kingdom building. Gods ways are higher than man.

Well that are my thoughts for today concerning you. I love you enough to tell the truth. Seek first the Kingdom. There is great reward in knowing Him!

To know Him,

Josh Helm
